Pink Oysters are vibrantly pink when they are young. As they start aging they become an ashy pink color. Depending on growing conditions pink Oysters typically develop a thick and meaty stem supporting a quite delicate and thin cap. Making this an ideal mushroom for adding to a wide variety of meals not just for flavor but as a way to add texture to your dishes. Pink Oysters are delicious and look incredible. They can be bitter unless cooked thoroughly, so it is best to cook them until they lose most of their color. Along with its great flavor it's filled with antioxidants and proteins.
